The situation
You open the portal on Monday morning. In Now, at the top, under "Needs you", it says The booking form no longer counts as a lead, with an Approve button next to it. One button. But before you press it, you want to know what you are actually approving.
A recommendation is a piece of work Valhalla found and Florentin checked. Nothing reaches you without passing through him. Approving does not start the work on the spot — it puts it into your plan, in its place.
What a recommendation shows
On a row (in Now or in the Plan) you see the title, a coloured dot for priority (Critical, High, Medium, Low, Opportunity) and "In short". You can approve right there. Click the title and the recommendation opens, built to be read in five seconds:
- Priority — one word. Critical means "it costs you money or data every day".
- The title — what changes, in business language.
- In short — the problem, in one sentence.
- Why now — what waiting costs you, with numbers from your data.
- Starts — the day it would start and how many hours it takes, for example "Sunday · ~2.5 h".
- What we do and What we track — the concrete plan and the result we measure.
- Explain it simply — the same idea, with no technical terms.
Below, Details holds the rest: What Valhalla saw, the technical steps, Why it sits here (the priority sentence, for example "high impact, urgent, costs you while it waits — we are 92% sure · low effort", plus impact, effort and area) and Evidence and sources (each metric, its value, the source and the date). At the end, Discussion — "Write about this" opens the box already set on this recommendation.
The buttons
- Approve — you want it. It goes into the Plan.
- Not now — you set it aside. You pick a reason (not the budget now, not the moment, not a priority, I disagree), when Valhalla should bring it back and, if you like, a note. It is not a refusal: you find it in Plan › Not now, from where you bring it back any time with "Bring back". If you do not want it at all, the same sheet has "I don't want this".
- Write about this — ask "why is it a priority" or "what is the risk" and you get an answer from the evidence, not from generalities.
What happens after "Approve"
No page reload, in this order:
- The recommendation becomes Approved and leaves "Needs you".
- Valhalla computes its place in the plan. Critical items always go to the front; the rest are ordered by score, then by age.
- It gets a session — or, if it is a small piece of work and a session in the same area already exists, it joins that one. You see the message on the spot, for example "Approved. It joins the session with "Treatment pages are easy for Google to find"."
- Valhalla proposes a date: the next free slot, in plan order. The proposed date stands — you do not have to confirm it. If it does not suit you, press Another time in the Plan and Valhalla proposes another within 24 hours.
Where you see it next
- Plan › What comes next — every session with its date; "date proposed" until it starts.
- Now › Next — what comes after the session in progress.
- History › Month by month — "You approved" with the date, then "Delivered" and the result.
What to remember
- A recommendation = in short, why now, when it starts, what we do, what we track; details and evidence sit under "Details".
- "Approve" puts the work in the plan at its computed place; nothing starts on the spot.
- "Not now" sets it aside, with a reason and a date to come back — bring it back with "Bring back".
- After approval Valhalla proposes a date that stands; "Another time" if it does not suit you.
Frequently asked
Can I approve from my phone?
Yes. The portal is built for it: the "Approve" button sits on every row in "Needs you", and in Account you can install the portal as an app.
What if I approve something by mistake?
Write to Florentin in "Discussion" on the recommendation page or from the "What should we solve?" box. As long as the session has not started, he takes it out of the plan at no cost.
